John: The Gospel of God

Looking Closely at Jesus’ Divine Nature

John’s Gospel is different from the other “synoptic” Gospels: Matthew, Mark & Luke. It’s different in that from the first words John scratched on parchment, his focus was Jesus’ divinity: In the beginning was the Word — In eternity past, Christ already existed. In this study we’ll follow the thread of Jesus’ divine nature through this Gospel written by the disciple closest to Jesus and with the clearest of purposes:

That you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name (20:31).
