Praise the Lord!

Review Last week— Do I think about money, giving and stewardship like God does?
1) All riches COME FROM God; 2) God OWNS Everything 3) God is IN CONTROL of Everything and 4) God PROVIDES Everything
1) So now what? God (in His Word) calls you to make giving a __________ and to do so in a manner that is proportionate to your _________, yet _____________, ____________ and ____________.
A careful look at Scripture reveals there are really 2 types of giving taught repeatedly throughout Scripture. The 1st is giving to the GOVERNMENT (which is always obligated or required by law) Rom 13:1-7 and the 2nd is giving to God (which isn’t done out of obligation, but is always voluntary).
When you get to the New Testament, you’ll discover that God is less interested in squeezing a particular percentage out of you than He is in giving us some helpful ____________ to abide by.
2 Cor 9:6-7 The point is this: whoever _______ sparingly will also _______ sparingly, and whoever sows ______________ will also reap _______________. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Does the manner in which you give, demonstrate that you actually ____________ all riches come from God, everything belongs to Him, He controls everything and He provides everything?
Giving is to be a priority!
Prov 3:9-10 Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; 10 then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, one of the greatest lies you could ever believe as it relates to giving to God is this "One day when I have ________, then I'll give ________ to God."
You and I are among the most blessed people in the world and God has called us to make giving to Him and His work a ___________.
When it comes to the act of giving, does God get your leftovers?
Giving should also be done in a manner that is proportionate to your ability (2 Cor 8:1-3).
You see what these believers gave came out of what they had to give and at the end of the day some of the most generous givers in churches across America are people who give not necessarily the largest amount to God, but instead who give open handedly with a generous heart out of all God has blessed them with and when they do that, God is honored.
Don't waste your time trying to _________ the pastor, elders or church with your giving. What matters is God’s assessment of it.
God has ways of blessing you that you can only imagine and the blessing He chooses to pour out on you in return may or may not always show up in the form of American currency, but I promise He's got your back and knows how to be sure you have exactly what you need when you need it.
Prov 11:24-25 One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another ___________ _______ ___ ________ _______, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.
Not only does God want you to make giving a priority and to do so in a manner that is proportionate to your ability, yet generous, He also expects us to give ______________ and _________________.
Mark 12:41-44 And he sat down opposite the treasury and watched the people putting money into the offering box. Many rich people put in large sums. 42 And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which make a penny. 43 And he called his disciples to him and said to them, “Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the offering box. 44 For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”
As you make giving to God a priority and do it in a manner that is _____________ to your ability, yet sacrificial and voluntary, God will give you increase in proportion to _____ _______________ (Phil 4:15-19).

Embrace the Joy of Christian Giving
By George Cuff
… Someday soon I will give account
For what I did with the great amount
That God freely gave to meet my need
And also to give as He decreed.
I learned to release what is His anyway,
To bring my offering on the Lord's Day.
I do not give to hear man's praise;
I simply desire to live God's way.
I learned every time I receive my pay
To bring my gift the next Lord's day.
By giving with order and discipline
It strengthens me and pleases Him.
I learned of God's Promise to supply.
If the well of my riches ever goes dry,
He will never stand idly by
Forsaking His servant until I die.
God can be trusted to meet all our need.
So don't be afraid to follow His lead.
If you would find joy in Christian living,
Embrace the grace of Christian giving.
